This growing clinic is now designated as a GMFU (University Family Medicine Group) and consists of a trained facility for family medicine residents as well as medical students.
This Clinic is ever-expanding and is closely linked with the Super Clinic recently inaugurated at the QE Urgent Care Clinic, as well as to the local community CUISSS (Centre Intégré Universitaire en Santé et Services Sociaux).
Increasing demand for the instruction and training components of this Clinic has necessitated additional space for the Primary Care Clinic, located on the 3rd floor of the Complex. Additional members of the FMU – Primary Care team include a social worker as well as a nurse-practitioner, trained to diagnose and treat certain medical conditions that would otherwise have had to be treated by a medical doctor.
