The Urgent Care Clinic (walk-in) is located on the ground floor of the building. A physician is available during opening hours 365 days a year. The clinic is one of 20 network clinics established in Montreal to improve access to medical services within the community. These clinics accept patients without an appointment in order to provide access to a physician and shorten the waiting time for services. This is the place of choice for minor medical emergencies. Queen Elizabeth Urgent Care Clinic is part of a network of clinics offering comprehensive medical know-how and access to essential diagnostic services such as blood tests, radiology and ultrasound for children and adults. The Urgent Care clinic is one of the first clinics in Montreal to access the Dossier Santé de Quebec and link with the MUHC.
The medical examination is covered by the RAMQ (Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec).
For splints and casts for fractures and stitches for minor injuries, a small fee is required for materials which is often covered by private insurance policies.
