The trendy art gallery Parisian Laundry was host once again to the 5th annual wine tasting event «Under the Tuscan Sun» on Thursday, May 15th, 2008. Christine Pickrell, of Westmount Florist, enthusiastically chaired the event for a second year in a row. She was seconded by Tony Fargnoli, from Tony Shoes, Jim Allan, Robert Anderson, Paolo Bassi, Gino Berretta, Paul Coffin, Domenico D'Alesio, Tony Galasso, Annic Lavertu, Brian Marcil, Mia Piccinin, David Pickrell and Irene Tschernomor. For the 5th year in a row, Gino Berretta of Berretta Wines donated the wonderful Tuscan red wines. The white wine was generously donated as well by LCC Vins et Spiritueux. Guests feasted on a magnificent buffet catered by The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, and had the opportunity of bidding on exclusive items in the silent and live auctions.

Over $95,000 was raised in net profits. These funds will be spent on digitizing the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex Imaging Department. Going digital will result in patients having improved access to care and obtaining faster results.
