Each year, the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex Foundation (QEHCF) solicits the support of its faithful and loyal donors for its Annual Appeal campaign. The Queen Elizabeth Health Complex (QEHC), a not-for-profit community led organization, receives no government funding. That is why we turn to you, our generous donors and friends. Please help us maintain the quality and availability of the QEHC services by contributing to our Annual Appeal campaign. Your family’s health, as well as that of the members of our community, will greatly benefit from your generosity for which we sincerely thank you. Your contribution is truly inspiring. Our 2016-2017 Annual Appeal campaign will benefit, amongst others, the following services and programs:

Diabetes Education Program

Our Diabetes Education Program (DEP), is offered to our community at no charge thanks to the QEHC Foundation. According to Diabète Québec, it is estimated that there are 760,000 diabetic Quebecers and, by 2025, this number will likely double (www.diabete.qc.ca). The DEP recorded over 1,300 patient visits in 2016. Following a thorough exam by our endocrinologist, a registered nurse, trained in diabetes education, provides ongoing health counselling to diabetic patients giving personalized support to those newly diagnosed.

Patients’ facilities

Please know that every single contribution gives us the encouragement and the momentum to continue to pursue our mission to benefit the QEHC, a not-for-profit medical establishment that receives no government funding. Your donation contributes to offer the members of our community, accessible health care services in a pleasant and professional environment. This is clearly demonstrated by the wide variety of programs and services offered by the QEHC.

Digital Tomosysthesis

In 2015, the QEHC developed a program where breast cancer survivors (5 years+) are seen by their breast cancer surgeon and have their follow-up appointments at the QEHC Victor & Sheila Goldbloom Diagnostic Imaging Center. Our exciting new initiative is to provide and offer our patients digital breast tomosynthesis – a breakthrough technology poised to revolutionize how breast cancer is detected today. Tomosysthesis-Mammography combo may reduce screening recall rates.
